Ok so here are some shots from a test run of my Fall In game. Laid it all out, played it through, saw what i needed more of so the table looks right. Game flows well, I'm really happy with the Songs of our Ancestors rules.

Micropanzer SAS

Here are the MicroPanzer SAS painted up in "urban" Mars Cammo.
These are going to represent Starship and Starport Security Forces. These are very nice chunky GZGesque minis that have a good amount of detail that takes well to my painting method of relying on the wash to bring out the details.
i cannot recommend these enough, and Jason is a treat to deal with. MicroPanzer should be supported in his goal to bring his line and game to fruition. coming soonish SAS in non urban Mars Cammo and his alien painted in an ERB Thark fashion.

late update

yea so I ran my game at the CON. I made the mistake of NOT saying mature audiences so it was listed as 15+ OK. Which i figured would be fine. However i wasn't counting on a parent bringing a less than 15 yr old as if he was going to play with him, then wandering off not to return, or the other "parent" that brought a 15+ and his little brother then proceeded to read a news paper. The adults that had played in previous games i've run with tickets walked away before the game started not wanting to play vs children, but leaving a few empty spots. I can't blame them. Luckily i had the game set up as 3 - one on one games so we were able to carry on.
RE the USE ME rules all of the kids picked them up fast and by turn 3 were going at it with little prompting.
I will never run another game without clearly stating ADULT THEMES MATURE AUDIENCES. I was seriously appalled at the "father" that abandoned his child at my table, and the jingoist rhetoric that freely spewed from his mouth. just vomiting back his parents and the TVs ignorance " everyone not toting the party line or protesting is a terrorist. " He settled down after I pointed out that George Washington and the rest of our founding fathers were considered Terrorists by the British Crown, and advising that such talk would NOT be tolerated at my table. It was nice to see the 15+ yr old hand him his ass since he underestimated the determined Militia of the Workers Union, and rolled poorly at critical times.
I didn't take any pics, however here are some pics from when GPT and I got in 5 games on e weekend.

New Cydonia Flats

Here we have the table for my cold wars 2011 game S-193 - MARS 2021 Sat. 3:00 PM, 4 hrs, 6 players The Year 2021. Mars has been partially terraformed, and colonized since 1999. Contact was lost with Earth during the 2012 solar eruptions. Currently the United Nations of Earth Martian Authority maintain a state of status quo. That has just changed as Factions take things into their own hands concurrent with a Cephalod lead Octopod uprising. Welcome to New Cydonia Flats, just outside the walls of New Cydonia. The Workers Union AKA WU are suspected of forming an alliance with the Octopods in thier struggle against the Corporate Fascist Cabal that the "owns" Greater Cydonia and much of the territories under UNEMA control.

Well what can i say other than these scream MAN IN RUBBER SUIT. The original purchaser did not have the heart to paint them after seeing the 2 poses so passed them on to me.

I gave them the heavy orangishred wash treatment no primer then one darker brownishblack wash, a dry brush, base treatment- finito.

i use a varying mix of acryllic paint, clear acrylic aka future, ink, and tap water to make my washes.

The Pit Demon is an earlier Cephalod attempt at gene splicing
not quite what they were going for. The project was abandoned and the cloning vats destroyed.
Recent Mining operations have "unearthed" a few hives.

MARs 2021 Octopod Uprising

getting my forces together for the USE ME game i am putting of at Cold Wars this year -
first up the Octopod Uprising.
In my alternate reality, the Cephalods are the original sentient race on Mars. At this point they are making a resurgance formerly they were mostly underground having never fully recovered from their failed invasion of earth in the 1800's. The Octopods were bioengineered by the Cephalods using redmartian, and human DNA along with their own. Human settlers have taken to employing them due to their resilience to harsh atmospheres and innate technical abilities.

and their wonderful, order which specific mini you want feature, on most of their lines. The only other place I know that does that is irregular, actually no there you get one out of how ever many poses of that say - afghan rifleman that they have. not quite as nice as at 15mm uk but i wish more people would offer it.
