SYNOPSIS ORANJISTAN 2011
Welcome to my parallel universe. The year is 2011.
Oranjistan has been a colonial battle ground through out modern history, forced to maintain a mostly feudal society. It shares a border with its hereditary tribal enemy Iranistan.
The village of Kahjd is on this border.
Kahjd is run by Abd el Kahjd. Kajhd is known for its robust Poppies. Since a UFO crashed nearby the poppies have mutated in color and potency. Another by product of the crash are Giant Ants. The locals have taken this in stride incorporating the Ants into their diet, even staging Ant Fights.
The Red Skull or one of his clones is still lurking about in the hills having split off from the main ODESSA enclave.
Groups of Grey Aliens have been spotted wandering about. They appear to be herding Dinosaurs, and are presumed stranded.
The US Marines are the current UN Peace Keepers. Their activities have been hampered by strict rules of engagement, or nonengagement, and the presence of Media 7.
A Media 7 crew is currently covering Medical assistance and care being provided by Aid workers to civilians in the contested border zone. They are accompanied by a trigger happy security team.

One side effect of the addition of ants to your diet is that they will not attack your troops or the indigenous.

Since the Red Skull somehow shot down your “mother ship” things have not improved, much.
There is hope that your SOS got through before the sun storm took out 37% of the earths communication including your own. A sort of agreement has been made with Iranistan, and you can get a rest if you can get these Dinos and your crew across the border, don’t forget to let the Dinos graze on the poppies if you get the chance.

Dino Wranglers
automatically maintain control of the the dinos they start with as long as they remain with in 10" of them. If the Greys are supressed -the dinos under their control move at 1/2 speed in random direction, unless in CC or in LOS of hostile unit.
Wrangler unit can take control of stray Dino with a communication check <4" style=""> 4”-8" +1 8"-10” +2 not allowed over 18"
Grey Command unit can use 1 of 2 Mind Powers each turn. The rest of the squad forfeits their action while this occurs.
Attack – 10” max range Opposed D6 + Elan +1 if under 5”
Attacker beats by 1 stunned, 2 = 1 wound, 3 = 2 wounds, etc etc. No carry over to other figures.
Control 10” max range Opposed D6 + Elan +1 if psychic, +1 if under 5”
Attacker beats by 1 stunned, 2 = 1 immediate action, 2 = 2 actions, 3+ = 2 actions + 1 action in their activation then stunned.

NOTE re USE ME mechanics, i added in/ tweaked a couple things such as adding an option to move twice at full distance but incur a +1 if shot at.
CO can pass an order on to a subordinate once per turn as an action roll -vs- ELAN.
broke hunker down into 2 separate actions worth +1 each.
+ of course whatever else is in the above stuff. That is if you've read this far.
I playtested using Star Grunt and USE ME. i was surprised they played out much the same. you can move faster in SG, and I would probably do the run gets you +1 per move action to make it more tempting.
USE ME made for a much more relaxed game and less of a mental exercise with the math and shifts.
